Żmija zygzakowata - Kreuzotter - Common European Viper

 

Gad z rzędu łuskonośnych (Squamata). Występuje w północnej i środkowej Europie oraz rejonach Azji o umiarkowanym klimacie. Zwierzę jajożyworodne. Żywi się głównie drobnymi gryzoniami. W Polsce jedyny jadowity gad, nie chroniony.

A reptile of the order Scale-bearing (Squamata). Found in northern and central Europe and temperate areas of Asia. An oviparous animal. Feeds mainly on small rodents. In Poland, the only venomous reptile, not protected.

Ein Reptil aus der Ordnung der Schuppentiere (Squamata). Sie kommt in Nord- und Mitteleuropa und in den gemäßigten Zonen Asiens vor. Ein eierlegendes Tier. Ernährt sich hauptsächlich von kleinen Nagetieren. In Polen das einzige giftige Reptil, nicht geschützt.
