Jaipur

Jaipur, widely known as the "Pink City," houses the magnificent City Palace, a masterpiece blending Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. At the heart of the complex lies the Mubarak Mahal, which welcomes visitors with its exquisite white marble facade and intricate carvings. Originally built as a reception hall for royal guests, this "Palace of Welcome" now serves as a museum for precious textiles. Towering behind the courtyards is the imposing Chandra Mahal, which remains the official residence of the former royal family to this day. Each of its seven stories features a unique design, offering breathtaking views over the gardens and the entire city. Together, these structures form a fascinating ensemble that keeps the rich history and cultural splendor of Rajasthan alive.

 Western Ghats King Cobra
The King Cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake, easily recognized by its hood, scales, and deep, growl-like hiss. Found across the forests, mangroves, and dense highlands of South and Southeast Asia, it plays a crucial role in controlling snake populations, its primary prey. Despite its fearsome reputation, it is generally shy and avoids human contact; however, it faces growing threats from habitat loss and human conflict. Recent research has revealed that the King Cobra is actually comprised of four distinct species, one of which is Ophiophagus kaalinga, endemic to the Western Ghats. The female King Cobra builds a nest, typically from leaf litter, and guards it until the eggs hatch—usually between 60 and 90 days, though sometimes up to 100 days, depending on temperature and humidity.
