Diamondback Rattlesnake 
The Diamondback rattlesnake is the largest venomous snake in North America. It owes its name to the striking pattern of dark, diamond-shaped blotches on its back. The snake is most famous for its rattle, which it uses to create a loud, characteristic warning sound when threatened. As an ambush predator, it often remains completely motionless in the undergrowth for hours to surprise passing rodents or birds. Using its highly sensitive pit organs, it can precisely detect the body heat of its prey even in absolute darkness. Although its bite is life-threatening to humans due to its potent hemotoxic venom, the snake generally avoids conflict and usually only attacks when directly cornered.

 In the east of the U.S. state of Utah lies the famous Arches National Park. This place is known worldwide for its unique natural arches made of red sandstone. There are over two thousand of these giant stone arches to discover throughout the park. The most famous of them is called "Delicate Arch," which has become the official symbol of the state. The desert-like landscape and vibrant rock formations often give visitors the feeling of being on another planet.

 The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a well-known national monument located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, USA. It features the granite-carved, approximately 60-foot-tall (18-meter) heads of four US Presidents. These presidents are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The four faces were carved into the rock between 1927 and 1941 under the supervision of sculptor Gutzon Borglum. They symbolize the founding, growth, development, and preservation of the United States.

Though a preliminary treaty of peace was signed in Paris in November of 1782 and the shooting had formally ceased in April, it was not until November 23, 1783 - after seven long years of British occupation - that the colonial colors replaced the Union Jack over New York City. As the artillery roared thirteen rounds and the seamen laid on their oars. General Washington and a contingent of weather-beaten heroes made a triumphal entry into the city. Crowds along the way cheered, shouted, and wept for joy as they glimpsed their General and first National Hero.

Not far from there is the Capitol, home of the US Congress, whose white dome towers over the city. The White House, the official residence of the US President, is another landmark that attracts millions of visitors each year. On the shores of the Tidal Basin stand the Lincoln Memorial with its imposing statue and the Jefferson Memorial, which commemorates the third president of the United States.

The Ruins of the Church of San Geronimo are a fascinating piece of history. They are located in Taos Pueblo, a historic site in New Mexico, USA. The original church was built in the early 17th century, but the ruins visible today date back to 1706. Within these walls, a tragic uprising occurred in which many people lost their lives. The ruins stand next to a newer church built in 1847, creating an interesting contrast to the historic site.
