Speyer
Speyer ist eine historische Stadt in Rheinland-Pfalz und Teil der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar. Als eine der ältesten Städte Deutschlands blickt sie auf eine bewegte Vergangenheit zurück. Besonders bekannt ist Speyer für seinen Kaiserdom, der als weltweit größte erhaltene romanische Kirche gilt und seit 1981 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört. Der Dom war einst Krönungsort römisch-deutscher Könige und beherbergt zahlreiche bedeutende Gräber. Neben dem Dom prägen weitere historische Bauwerke wie das Altpörtel und das Historische Rathaus das Stadtbild.

Speyer is particularly famous for its Imperial Cathedral, which is the world's largest surviving Romanesque church and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. The cathedral was once the coronation site of Roman-German kings and houses numerous important graves. In addition to the cathedral, other historical buildings such as the Altpörtel gate and the historic town hall shape the cityscape.
