Jerusalem is located in the centre of Israel. The Old City is divided into Jewish, Christian, Armenian and Muslim quarters, which are surrounded by a fortification wall from Ottoman times. The city is considered a holy site by Jews, Christians and Muslims alike.
Jerusalem liegt in der Mitte Israels. Die Altstadt ist in ein jüdisches, christliches, armenisches und muslimisches Viertel gegliedert, die von einer Befestigungsmauer aus osmanischer Zeit umgeben sind. Die Stadt gilt sowohl Juden, Christen als auch Muslimen als Heilige Stätte.
