Honfoglalás
A honfoglalás a magyarok Kárpát-medencei letelepedése volt a 9. században, Árpád vezetésével. A magyarok, egy eredetileg az Uráltól keletre fekvő sztyeppékről származó lovas nomád nép, betörtek a mai Magyarország területére és letelepedtek ott. A magyarok érkezése a magyar államiság kezdetét jelentette, és 1000-ben a Magyar Királyság megalapításához vezetett. (Munkácsy festménye, 1895)
Hungarian conquest
The Hungarian conquest, also known as the Honfoglalás, was the settlement of the Carpathian Basin by the Hungarians in the 9th century, under the leadership of Árpád. The Hungarians, a nomadic equestrian people originally from the steppes east of the Urals, invaded the territory of present-day Hungary and settled there. The arrival of the Hungarians marked the beginning of Hungarian statehood and led to the establishment of the Kingdom of Hungary in 1000.

Die ungarische Landnahme, auch bekannt als Honfoglalás, war die Eroberung des Karpatenbeckens durch die Magyaren unter der Führung von Fürst Árpád im 9. Jahrhundert. Die Magyaren, ein ursprünglich aus den Steppen östlich des Urals stammendes Reitervolk, drangen in das Gebiet des heutigen Ungarns ein und besiedelten es. Die Ankunft der Magyaren markierte den Beginn der ungarischen Staatsgeschichte und führte zur Gründung des Königreichs Ungarn im Jahr 1000.
