Le Phare du Bout du Monde 
En 1881, désirant affimer son autorité sur la Terre de Feu, le gouvernement argentin entreprit, dans des conditions climatiques extrêmes, la construction d'un phare de bois signalant le dangereux détroit de Magellan. En 1994, un aventurier Rochelais, André Bronner et dix de ses compagnons retrouvèrent les vestiges du phare et le restaurèrent après deux mois de dur chantier. Parallèlement, à la Rochelle, à la pointe des minimes, on entreprit de construire la réplique exacte du "Phare du Bout du Monde".

The Lighthouse of the end of the world
In 1881, wishing to assert its authority over Tierra del Fuego, the Argentine government undertook, in extreme weather conditions, the construction of a wooden lighthouse to mark the dangerous Strait of Magellan. In 1994, an adventurer from La Rochelle, André Bronner, and ten of his companions found the remains of the lighthouse and restored it after two months of hard work. At the same time, in La Rochelle, at the Pointe des Minimes, work began on building an exact replica of the ‘Lighthouse at the End of the World’.

Leuchtturm am Ende der Welt
Im Jahr 1881 begann die argentinische Regierung, um ihre Autorität über Feuerland zu bekräftigen, unter extremen klimatischen Bedingungen mit dem Bau eines hölzernen Leuchtturms, der auf die gefährliche Magellanstraße hinweisen sollte. 1994 fanden ein Abenteurer aus La Rochelle, André Bronner, und zehn seiner Gefährten die Überreste des Leuchtturms und restaurierten ihn nach zwei Monaten harter Arbeit. Gleichzeitig begann man in La Rochelle, an der Pointe des Minimes, mit dem Bau einer exakten Nachbildung des „Leuchtturms am Ende der Welt”.
