Graz

 Graz, die Landeshauptstadt der Steiermark, ist eine Stadt voller historischem Charme und modernem Flair, deren historisches Zentrum zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört. Eine Hauptattraktion ist der Hauptplatz, ein lebendiger Treffpunkt, umgeben von prächtigen Gebäuden wie dem beeindruckenden Rathaus. Über der Stadt thront der Schlossberg, das Wahrzeichen von Graz, den man bequem zu Fuß oder mit der Schlossbergbahn erreicht. Auf dem Gipfel des Schlossbergs befindet sich der berühmte Uhrturm, dessen Zifferblätter und Glocken ein beliebtes Fotomotiv darstellen. Etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt liegt das barocke Schloss Eggenberg, ebenfalls ein Weltkulturerbe, das mit seinen prunkvollen Sälen und dem weitläufigen Park begeistert.

A main attraction is the Hauptplatz (Main Square), a lively meeting place surrounded by magnificent buildings such as the impressive City Hall (Rathaus). Towering above the city is the Schlossberg, the landmark of Graz, which can be reached easily on foot or by the funicular. At the summit of the Schlossberg is the famous Clock Tower (Uhrturm), whose clock faces and bells are a popular photo motif. Just outside the city center lies the Baroque Eggenberg Palace (Schloss Eggenberg), also a World Heritage site, which delights visitors with its opulent halls and extensive park.
