Gardens by the Bay & Marina Bay Sands Resort

Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Bay Sands Resort together form what is perhaps the most iconic ensemble of modern architecture in Singapore. While the futuristic "Supertrees" (25 - 50m high) and the massive glass biodomes of the gardens represent an impressive symbiosis of nature and technology, the Marina Bay Sands dominates the skyline with its three striking towers. The hotel is world-famous for its spectacular Infinity Pool, which stretches across a massive platform at a height of 191 meters atop all three buildings. An elegant pedestrian bridge connects the luxury resort directly to the gardens, allowing visitors to transition effortlessly between urban lifestyle and botanical splendor. Especially after dark, the entire area is transformed into a magical backdrop by elaborate light and sound shows. Together, these landmarks represent Singapore's goal of being a "City in a Garden" while setting new standards for global luxury tourism.

Ili

The Ili is a major river in Central Asia, flowing approximately 1,439 kilometers through China and Kazakhstan. It originates in the eastern Tian Shan Mountains in China, formed by the confluence of the Tekes and Künes rivers. About half of its course lies within Kazakh territory before it eventually empties into the endorheic Lake Balkhash. Along its way, the Ili feeds the large Kapshagay Reservoir, which serves both power generation and recreation near the city of Almaty. The vast delta at its mouth forms a unique wetland ecosystem that supports numerous rare bird and fish species.

 Western Ghats King Cobra
The King Cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake, easily recognized by its hood, scales, and deep, growl-like hiss. Found across the forests, mangroves, and dense highlands of South and Southeast Asia, it plays a crucial role in controlling snake populations, its primary prey. Despite its fearsome reputation, it is generally shy and avoids human contact; however, it faces growing threats from habitat loss and human conflict. Recent research has revealed that the King Cobra is actually comprised of four distinct species, one of which is Ophiophagus kaalinga, endemic to the Western Ghats. The female King Cobra builds a nest, typically from leaf litter, and guards it until the eggs hatch—usually between 60 and 90 days, though sometimes up to 100 days, depending on temperature and humidity.

The historic center, featuring colorful house facades and the Baroque Church of St. Lawrence, invites visitors to take relaxing strolls. Geographically, Dačice is idyllically situated on the Thaya River and is considered the gateway to the beautiful Czech Canada region. Thanks to this blend of pioneering spirit, stately architecture, and untouched nature, the town is a true gem of South Bohemia.
