Mérida, Yucatán

Here you will find both the Municipal Palace (City Hall) and the majestic Cathedral of San Ildefonso, one of the oldest in all of the Americas. The Casa de Montejo, the city founder's splendid mansion, stands out on the same square with its detailed Plateresque façade from the 16th century. A little further away, on the elegant Paseo de Montejo boulevard, the impressive Casa Bulnes is notable for its neoclassical architecture. These historical buildings bear witness to the cultural and architectural heritage of Mérida. The "White City" serves as a vibrant starting point for exploring the fascination of the Mayan world.
