Hévízer See
The thermal lake of Hévíz in Hungary is the largest natural and biologically active thermal lake in the world. Fed by an underground cave, the water is heated by volcanic geothermal energy and completely renews itself in about three days. Even in the cold winter, the water temperature rarely drops below 24 degrees Celsius, allowing for year-round outdoor swimming. The water's characteristic sulfur and mineral content provides a soothing therapeutic effect that is particularly valued for rheumatism and joint complaints. A picturesque highlight is the water lilies that bloom extensively across the water's surface, lending the spa town a magical atmosphere.
