Zámek Lednice
Pravděpodobně již v roce 1222 stála na místě dnešního zámku gotická vodní tvrz. Koncem 13. století se majiteli panství stali Lichtenštejnové. Tento rod se postupně stal díky úspěšným ekonomickým aktivitám, výhodným sňatkům a zejména díky skoupení mnoha pobělohorských konfiskátů nejbohatším. Poslední přestavbu v duchu anglické gotiky provedl v letech 1846-1858 Alois II. z Lichtenštejna.

Schloss Eisgrub
Wahrscheinlich schon 1222 stand an der Stelle des heutigen Schlosses eine gotische Wasserburg. Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts wurde die Familie Liechtenstein Besitzer des Anwesens. Diese Familie wurde dank erfolgreicher wirtschaftlicher Aktivitäten, vorteilhafter Heiraten und vor allem dank der Rückzahlung zahlreicher Enteignungen nach Whitehorse nach und nach die reichste. Der letzte Umbau im Geiste der englischen Gotik wurde in den Jahren 1846-1858 von Alois II. von Liechtenstein durchgeführt.

Lednice Castle
Probably as early as 1222, a Gothic water fortress stood on the site of today's chateau. At the end of the 13th century, the Liechtenstein family became the owners of the estate. This family gradually became the richest thanks to their successful economic activities, advantageous marriages and especially thanks to the redemption of many post-Whitehorse confiscations. The last reconstruction in the spirit of English Gothic was carried out in 1846-1858 by Alois II of Liechtenstein.

Der Hauptbahnhof wurde im August 1888 feierlich eröffnet. Die Fasade ist im Neorenaissance Stil errichtet, Erweiterungen im Neoklassizismus. Der Hbf ist nach Hamburg der zweit meist frequentierte Bahnhof in Deutschland. 

The main station was ceremoniously opened in August 1888. The façade is built in neo-Renaissance style, extensions in neoclassicism. The main station is the second busiest station in Germany after Hamburg.

Boskovický hrad
Goticko-renesanční zřícenina šlechtického sídla. Hrad byl založen pány z Boskovic ve 13. století. Raritou je roubená studna se šlapacím kolem. V současné době je hrad v držení rodiny Mensdorff-Pouilly.

Boskovice castle
Gothic-Renaissance ruins of a nobleman's residence. The castle was founded by the Lords of Boskovice in the 13th century. The timbered well with a treadwheel is a rarity. Currently the castle is owned by the Mensdorff-Pouilly family.

Burg Boskowitz
Ruinen eines Adelssitzes im Gotik-Renaissance-Stil. Die Burg wurde im 13. Jahrhundert von den Herren von Boskovice gegründet. Eine Seltenheit ist der hölzerne Brunnen mit einem Trittrad. Gegenwärtig befindet sich die Burg im Besitz der Familie Mensdorff-Pouilly.

Soldiers and Sailors Monument
Monument Circle, Market & Meridian streets. The monument commemorates the valor and fortitude of Indiana's soldiers and sailors in all wars before World War I. The glass-enclosed balcony, 231,2 feet above ground, is reached by an elevator plus stairs or by 330 steps. Museum is basement has artifacts and pictures from Civil War and Spanish-American War.

Monument Circle, Market & Meridian Street. Das Denkmal erinnert an den Mut und die Tapferkeit der Soldaten und Matrosen von Indiana in allen Kriegen vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Svatý Hostýn
Podle legendy se na kopec Hostýn v roce 1241 uchýlili lidé z okolí před tatarským vpádem. Jejich modlitby k Panně Marii byly vyslyšeny, pro žíznící zde vytryskl pramen a ležení nájezdníků bylo zapáleno bleskem. Byla zde postavena kaplička, v polovině 16. století patrně Burian Žabka z Limberka nechal postavit dřevěnou kapli. V roce 1650 hrabě Jan z Rottalu rozšířil již zděnou kapli na kostelík. Základní kámen chrámu Panny Marie Vítězné a jejího Nanebevzetí byl položen roce 1721, dostavěn a slavnostně vysvěcen pak byl roku 1748. V roce 1787 byl chrám zrušen. Roku 1841 se začalo s jeho obnovou, ke slavnostnímu vysvěcení došlo však až v roce 1891. V roce 1895 vznikla Matice svatohostýnská, která odkoupila od barona Arnošta Laudona za 55.000 zlatých 19 ha pozemků kolem chrámu.

Der Legende nach flüchteten die Menschen aus der Umgebung im Jahr 1241 auf den Hostýn-Berg, um der Tatareninvasion zu entkommen. Ihre Gebete an die Jungfrau Maria wurden erhört, eine Quelle sprudelte für die Durstigen und das Lager der Angreifer wurde durch einen Blitz in Brand gesetzt. Hier wurde eine Kapelle gebaut, und Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts ließ Burian Žabka von Limberok wahrscheinlich eine Holzkapelle errichten. Im Jahr 1650 baute Graf Jan von Rottal die bereits gemauerte Kapelle zu einer kleinen Kirche aus. Der Grundstein der Kirche Unserer Lieben Frau vom Sieg und der Himmelfahrt wurde 1721 gelegt, 1748 fertiggestellt und geweiht. Im Jahr 1787 wurde die Kirche geschlossen. Im Jahr 1841 wurde mit der Restaurierung begonnen, doch die feierliche Einweihung fand erst 1891 statt. 1895 wurde die St. Hostein-Gesellschaft gegründet, die von Baron Arnošt Laudon für 55.000 Goldmünzen 19 Hektar Land rund um die Kirche kaufte.


Saint Hostýn
According to legend, the people from the surrounding area fled to Hostýn Mountain in 1241 to escape the Tartar invasion. Their prayers to the Virgin Mary were answered, a spring gushed forth for the thirsty and the camp of the attackers was set on fire by lightning. A chapel was built here, and in the middle of the 16th century Burian Žabka of Limberok probably had a wooden chapel built. In 1650, Count Jan of Rottal expanded the already walled chapel into a small church. The foundation stone of the Church of Our Lady of Victory and the Assumption was laid in 1721, completed and consecrated in 1748. In 1787 the church was closed. In 1841, restoration was begun, but the solemn consecration did not take place until 1891. In 1895, the St. Hostýn society was founded, which bought 19 hectares of land around the church from Baron Arnošt Laudon for 55,000 gold coins.

Farní kostel navštívení panny Marie v Poštorné dal postavit panující kníže Jan II. z Lichtenštejna. Spojení použitého materiálu a impozantnosti, dané jedinečným architektonickým řešením, a mohutnost celé stavby, z něj vytváří dílo, patřící mezi nejvýznamnější dominanty dnešní Břeclavi.

 Die Pfarrkirche Mariä Heimsuchung in Unterthemenau wurde vom regierenden Fürsten Johannes II. von Liechtenstein erbaut. Die Kombination der verwendeten Materialien und der imposante Charakter der einzigartigen architektonischen Gestaltung und die Massivität des gesamten Gebäudes machen sie zu einem der wichtigsten Wahrzeichen des heutigen Lundenburg.

 The parish church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Poštorná was built by the reigning Prince John II of Liechtenstein. The combination of the materials used and the imposing nature of the unique architectural design and the massiveness of the whole building make it one of the most important landmarks of today's Břeclav.

Hofburg Wien - Hofburg Vienna

Die Wiener Hofburg fungierte vom 13. Jahrhundert bis 1918 als Residenz-Schloss der Habsburger. Seit Ende 1946 ist sie der Amtssitz des Österreichischen Bundespräsidenten. The Vienna Hofburg served as the residence palace of the Habsburgs from the 13th century until 1918. Since the end of 1946, it has been the official residence of the Austrian Federal President. It houses a large part of the Austrian National Library and the Albertina Museum. It is a popular tourist attraction.

Hrad Děvičky - Maidenburg

 

Zřícenina Hrad Děvičky se nachází na Děvíně, nejvyšším vrcholu Pálavy na jižní Moravě. Dnes se z něj zachovaly pouze základové zdi.

 The ruins of Děvičky Castle are located on Děvín, the highest peak of the Pálava Mountains in South Moravia. Today, only the foundation walls have been preserved.

Die Ruinen der Burg Maidenburg befinden sich auf dem Maidenberg, dem höchsten Gipfel der Pollauer Berge in Südmähren. Heute sind nur noch die Grundmauern erhalten geblieben.
