O Museu da Inconfidência está localizado no coração de Ouro Preto e está instalado no antigo palácio municipal, que outrora serviu como Casa de Câmara e Cadeia de Vila Rica. É dedicado à Inconfidência Mineira, o primeiro movimento significativo de independência contra o domínio colonial português em 1789. No imponente edifício, estão expostos documentos importantes, objetos do cotidiano e obras de arte do período do ciclo do ouro na antiga Vila Rica. Particularmente emocionante é o Panteão no andar térreo, onde repousam os restos mortais dos conjurados, incluindo o herói nacional Tiradentes.
The Museu da Inconfidência is located in the heart of Ouro Preto and is housed in the former municipal palace, which once served as the town hall and prison of Vila Rica. It is dedicated to the Inconfidência Mineira, the first significant independence movement against Portuguese colonial rule in 1789. The impressive building displays important documents, everyday objects, and artworks from the gold rush era of the former Vila Rica. Particularly moving is the Pantheon on the ground floor, where the remains of the conspirators, including the national hero Tiradentes, are laid to rest.
Das Museu da Inconfidência befindet sich im Herzen von Ouro Preto und ist im ehemaligen Stadtpalast untergebracht, der einst als Rathaus und Gefängnis von Vila Rica diente. Es ist der Inconfidência Mineira gewidmet, der ersten bedeutenden Unabhängigkeitsbewegung gegen die portugiesische Kolonialherrschaft im Jahr 1789. In dem eindrucksvollen Gebäude werden bedeutende Dokumente, Alltagsgegenstände und Kunstwerke aus der Zeit des Goldrausches im damaligen Vila Rica ausgestellt. Besonders bewegend ist das Pantheon im Erdgeschoss, in dem die sterblichen Überreste der Verschwörer, darunter auch des Nationalhelden Tiradentes, ihre letzte Ruhe gefunden haben.
