 La Fontana delle Tartarughe
La Fontana delle Tartarughe, un pittoresco gioiello nel cuore di Roma, si trova in Piazza Mattei, all'interno dello storico Ghetto Ebraico. Costruita tra il 1581 e il 1588 su progetto di Giacomo della Porta, è un capolavoro del Rinascimento romano. Le famose tartarughe che danno il nome al monumento, aggiunte in un secondo momento, sono attribuite a Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Il loro scopo sembra essere quello di aiutare i quattro efebi a raggiungere la vasca superiore.

Turtle Fountain
The Turtle Fountain, Fontana delle Tartarughe, is a picturesque fountain located in the heart of Rome. It can be found in Piazza Mattei within the historic Jewish Ghetto. Designed by Giacomo della Porta, the fountain was built between 1581 and 1588. The turtles, which give the fountain its name, were added later and are attributed to Gian Lorenzo Bernini. They appear to be helping the four youths reach the upper basin.

Der Schildkrötenbrunnen, Fontana delle Tartarughe, ist ein malerischer Brunnen im Herzen Roms. Er befindet sich auf der Piazza Mattei im historischen jüdischen Ghetto. Der Brunnen wurde zwischen 1581 und 1588 nach einem Entwurf von Giacomo della Porta erbaut. Seine namensgebenden Schildkröten, die die vier Jünglinge dabei zu unterstützen scheinen, das Becken zu erreichen, wurden dem Werk erst später von Gian Lorenzo Bernini hinzugefügt.
