Ljubljana - Laibach

 Ljubljanski grad, ki se dviga na hribu nad slovensko prestolnico, je neizogibni simbol mesta. Njegova zgodovina sega več kot 900 let nazaj, s prvo pisno omembo v začetku 12. stoletja. Sedanji tloris srednjeveške utrdbe izvira predvsem iz 15. stoletja, ko je bil obsežno prenovljen. Z leti je grad služil ne le obrambi, ampak tudi kot sedež kranjskih deželnih gospodov, pozneje kot vojašnica in celo kot zapor. Danes je pomembno kulturno središče in priljubljena turistična znamenitost z muzeji in razstavami. Z razglednega stolpa in grajskega obzidja imajo obiskovalci čudovit panoramski pogled na mesto.

 Ljubljana Castle, perched atop a hill overlooking the Slovenian capital, is the city's unmistakable landmark. Its history stretches back over 900 years, with its first written mention in the early 12th century. The current layout of the medieval fortress mainly dates back to the 15th century when it was extensively rebuilt. Over the years, the castle served not only for defense but also as the seat of the provincial governors of Carniola, and later as a barracks and even a prison. Today, it is an important cultural center and a popular tourist attraction, housing museums and exhibitions. From the Outlook Tower and the castle ramparts, visitors can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city. 

Die Burg von Laibach (Ljubljana), auf einem Hügel über der slowenischen Hauptstadt thronend, ist das unübersehbare Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Ihre Geschichte reicht über 900 Jahre zurück, mit einer ersten urkundlichen Erwähnung im frühen 12. Jahrhundert. Der heutige Grundriss der mittelalterlichen Festung stammt hauptsächlich aus dem 15. Jahrhundert, als sie umfassend umgebaut wurde. Im Laufe der Zeit diente die Burg nicht nur der Verteidigung, sondern auch als Sitz der Herren von Krain und später als Kaserne und sogar als Gefängnis. Heute ist sie ein bedeutendes Kulturzentrum und eine beliebte Touristenattraktion mit Museen und Ausstellungen. Vom Aussichtsturm und den Burgmauern aus genießen Besucher einen herrlichen Panoramablick auf die Stadt.
