 The Grave of Karl Marx
The grave of the famous philosopher and economist Karl Marx is located in Highgate Cemetery in North London. The original burial site was relocated in 1954, and the current, monumental tombstone was unveiled in 1956. It is marked by a larger-than-life bronze bust of Marx resting on a tall granite plinth. Quotes from Marx's works are inscribed on the plinth, including the famous call: "Workers of all lands, unite!"

Das Grab des berühmten Philosophen und Ökonomen Karl Marx befindet sich auf dem Highgate Cemetery im Norden Londons. Die ursprüngliche Grabstätte wurde 1954 umgebettet, und 1956 wurde das heutige, monumentale Grabmal enthüllt. Gekennzeichnet wird es durch eine überlebensgroße Bronzebüste von Marx, die auf einem hohen Granitsockel ruht. In den Sockel sind Zitate aus Marx' Werken eingemeißelt, darunter der berühmte Aufruf: „Proletarier aller Länder, vereinigt euch!“
