 Das Neue Rathaus in Leipzig ist ein imposantes Baudenkmal, errichtet zwischen 1899 und 1905, und gehört zu den größten Rathausneubauten weltweit. Es beeindruckt mit seinem markanten, 114,7 Meter hohen Turm, der als höchster Rathausturm Deutschlands gilt und auf den Fundamenten der alten Pleißenburg steht. Im Herzen der Stadt, am Augustusplatz, befindet sich der moderne Campus der Universität Leipzig, dessen Zentrum das Neue Augusteum und das Paulinum bilden. Das Paulinum dient als Aula und Universitätskirche St. Pauli und vereint somit einen geistig-geistlichen Ort mit universitären Funktionen.

 The New City Hall (Neues Rathaus) in Leipzig is an imposing architectural monument, built between 1899 and 1905, and is one of the largest new city hall constructions globally. It impresses with its striking, 114.7-meter-high tower, which is considered the tallest city hall tower in Germany and stands on the foundations of the old Pleißenburg castle. In the heart of the city, on Augustusplatz, lies the modern campus of the University of Leipzig, whose center is formed by the New Augusteum and the Paulinum. The Paulinum serves as both an assembly hall and the University Church St. Pauli, thus combining a spiritual-religious site with university functions.
